INFPs tend to come from the space of, "I'm going to do this, and I'm going to do that." INFJs tend to come from the space of, "We're going to do this, and we're going to do that."

INFJs tend to speak for the collective while INFPs tend to speak for themselves.

Does that clarify matters?

FWIW: I notice it in my coaching a lot. I will say to my clients, "What WE need to do is tell your mother how you feel" when clearly it's not a "we" thing. I have to keep remembering to butt out. On the other hand, it's helpful to give people guidelines such as saying, "Welcome to our meeting. First we read the minutes, then we network for half an hour, and then we have lunch." I've noticed NFPs struggle around creating any "we" materials because they don't like to speak for others.

Is that any clearer?

Ooh, yes.

You know, I'm really really beginning to suspect that I'm an INFP after all. Let me keep reading a bit...but you're starting to get me convinced...

(This is Anonymous, by the way. I realized there's a way to put my name without having a blog. ;-) )
