I did not vote on the letter, as my attention snapped before I got to the end, and I would have been guessing; so I just went ahead to your analysis. And you know what? I do believe I am INFP. Some of that sounded lots like me: the integration of various sources; the openness to new theories; having to reconcile all the little differences that didn't neatly fit; the unwillingness to just conclude the type search...oh my gosh. I, too, could see myself in both of the choices you talked about, enough to confuse me. Out of all that, this has got to be one of the things that has influenced me the most. I may never be 100% sure (I always like to leave room for being wrong), but I'm pretty danged sure I am INFP now. Thank you so much. :D
Having just finished reading the gentlman's letter, I'm going to make the difficult guess of INFP if forced to choose between INFP or INFJ. I'm leaning that direction primarily because of his ability to tune people out - a talent I do not possess.
